30 days

30 work days, that is.  Not that I'm counting or anything.

This school year has been one of the hardest 10 months of my life.  New school, totally foreign pressures and responsibilities.  Totally foreign student mindsets.  Disrespectful kids on a daily basis.

That's the part I'm most worn out from - the disrespectful kids.  Being tired of the work is one thing.  Being sick of BTSA is one thing.  But being disrespected by students after you tell them repeatedly to please be quiet, take out a sheet of paper (which half the time they don't have) and a pencil (which they also don't have) and start working on whatever it is I want them to do is quite another.  It's sickening and more stressful and tiring than all the other stuff combined.

So to all those people out there who get annoyed when teachers complain about the school year not being over yet because they think teachers have it easier because of the vacation time and "only working 8-3" and blah blah etc etc, come and try doing what I do for just one day with the kids I deal with and see how you like it.
